“It has been a profound experience to see what an impact our special needs kids have on “everyday people” as it was seen in all of the coaches, kids, and parents after Season 1 with the Flurries. The bonus was when we all instantly “clicked” in these new friendships from an amazing opportunity like Flurries and instantly became built-in supports for one another. From the start there was never any judgment yet each of us parents and our children were met with patience, empathy, grace and encouragement week after week as an important part of their TEAM. The friendships and true TEAM building that happened weekly to get to trust, know, understand then later showcase each of our kids amazing talents was such a beautiful experience to witness. The coaches identified where each child started in their Cheer ability, met them where they were at and encouraged them to push themselves each week as they improved at the Cheer skills, at their own pace.
